Addressable Control Panel Range Tested and Classified To ISO 21927-9:2012
Advanced Air are proud to announce that we have recently tested and achieved classification of our entire range of addressable control panels and field devices to ISO 21927-9:2012 that specifies the product performance requirements, classifications and test methods for control equipment designed for use in smoke- and heat-control systems (SHCS) in building.
Unlike common control systems that are assessed in isolation or simply presented as conforming, Advanced Air equipment has been fully tested as a complete fire and smoke control assembly. During independent fire resistance testing in accordance with BS ISO 21927-9, and as part of BS EN 1366-2 and BS EN 1366-10, our control panels and associated field devices were actively used to drive dampers to their fire position and maintain that position for the full duration of the test. We have demonstrated real-world performance under real-world conditions – not simply relying on theoretical compliance or conformity.
In addition, our addressable range of System 32, System 32S, and System 42 control panels have undergone extensive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing to BS EN 61000 and BS EN 50130 standards. This includes proven immunity to electrostatic discharge, radiated and conducted RF interference, electrical fast transients, surge events, magnetic fields, and voltage dips. Emissions testing further confirms suitability for industrial, commercial, and light-industrial environments.
Manufactured under our ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, and to BS EN 60204-1:2018 (Safety of machinery. Electrical equipment of machines – General requirements), these results give specifiers and installers confidence that Advanced Air control equipment will perform reliably when it matters most – in real-world fire scenarios, not just on paper.
